About the role#
This summer internship provides an opportunity to gain professional experience in the steel and manufacturing industry. You will work within a team environment to develop leadership skills and network with managers and colleagues. The program includes career readiness workshops covering topics such as resume building and interview preparation, as well as organized social and community service activities.
What you'll do#
- Learn the fundamentals of account management within the steel and manufacturing sector.
- Shadow and support Account Managers to build skills in prospecting, cold calling, presentations, and pricing.
- Gain an understanding of the sales pipeline, ranging from initial inquiries to final product shipment.
- Develop knowledge of company capabilities, market segments, and the competitive landscape.
- Accompany Account Managers on local travel for customer meetings and plant tours.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
- Completion of at least 30 credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
