The Digital Technician Assistant provides technical support for PC and Mac hardware and software across campus. This role assists students and employees with technical issues in person, via email, and over the phone, while maintaining classroom and lab equipment.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for PCs and Macs in labs, classrooms, and for individual users.
- Answer and assist with help line phone calls.
- Manage and respond to RT tickets.
- Re-image laptops and troubleshoot or replace AV equipment as needed.
- Conduct research to support and extend the department's knowledge base.
- Provide on-call evening support for classroom hardware and software as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer experience and some hardware knowledge.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of multiple operating systems and configurations.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and good customer service skills.
- Ability to work well within a team, share knowledge, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and troubleshooting practices.
- A neat and clean appearance is required.

- Compensation: $9.50/hour.
