About the role#
The Digital Technician Assistant provides technical support to students and employees at Messiah University. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues for PCs, Macs, and audiovisual equipment in classrooms and labs. You will assist users in person, over the phone, and via email while maintaining accurate documentation of your work.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on PCs and Macs.
- Answer and assist with help line phone calls.
- Re-image laptops and manage RT tickets.
- Troubleshoot and replace AV equipment as needed.
- Conduct research to support and extend the department knowledge base.
- Provide evening classroom support when assigned.
What you'll need#
- Basic computer, hardware, and software knowledge.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and share new knowledge with others.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of multiple operating systems and configurations.
- Neat and clean appearance (no cutoffs or torn clothing).

- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $9.50 per hour.
