About the role#
The Student Escort Driver helps members of the Messiah University community reach their destinations safely. This service promotes personal safety on campus during the evening hours. You will work shifts between dusk and dawn, including weeknights and rotating weekends.
What you'll do#
- Conduct escorts by walking, biking, or driving.
- Report to the dispatch office to receive requests.
- Acknowledge dispatch requests and provide an estimated time of arrival.
- Record time and mileage for every escort.
- Drive to the requested destination and remain there until the person enters their building or vehicle.
- Notify dispatch when you are clear.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to become a college-approved driver and complete required training.
- A clean disciplinary record free of significant offenses.
- Personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A courteous, professional demeanor and the ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to work designated shift hours.

- Employment type: Part-time, paid at $8.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling for the 2026-27 academic year.
- Requirements: Background check clearances are mandatory.
