About the role#
As a Design-Build Co-op, you will apply your academic coursework directly to a professional construction environment. You will work alongside project managers, superintendents, and design professionals to support the execution of projects. This role requires you to take ownership of tasks and contribute to the overall success of our project teams.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate design and construction activities.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, documents, and requests for proposals.
- Assist in the creation of project schedules, scopes of work, and bid packages.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings to support estimates and proposals.
- Coordinate drawing and schedule expectations with subcontractors.
- Manage administrative tasks including drawing logs, submittals, shop drawings, and contract generation.
- Prepare monthly invoices and issue change-orders.
- Attend project meetings, record minutes, and participate in project planning.
- Conduct daily on-site reporting and prepare weekly progress reports.
- Deliver miscellaneous project packages, such as permits and submittals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, Procore, and Timberline is a plus.
- A resilient work ethic and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- A detail-oriented approach and a commitment to building positive working relationships.
- Ability to provide superior service to teammates and customers.
