About the role#
As a Design-Build Co-op, you will apply your classroom knowledge to real projects. You will work directly with our project teams to help deliver results for our clients and investors. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and architects to coordinate project design and construction.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, documents, and requests for proposals.
- Help create project schedules, scopes of work, and bid packages.
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials.
- Communicate project expectations and drawings directly to subcontractors.
- Manage drawing logs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Generate contracts, prepare monthly invoices, and issue change-orders.
- Attend planning meetings and record minutes.
- Perform daily on-site reporting and write weekly progress reports.
- Deliver permits and other miscellaneous project items.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, Procore, or Timberline is a plus.
- A reliable vehicle for delivering project documents and permits.
