About the role#
The Clinical Nursing Student role at the Med Surg Unit provides hands-on experience through job shadowing and direct patient care. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to develop your clinical skills and support patient needs. This is a paid, on-site position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
- Record vital signs and document patient data accurately.
- Assist patients with personal care, hygiene, and mobility activities.
- Report changes in patient condition or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support the nursing process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a nursing program.
- Completion of at least one clinical nursing course.
- Completion of at least one clinical rotation.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
