About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in New York. You will work on-site, contributing to real projects that support our Construction Asset Management team. We provide both a manager and a mentor to guide your work and professional growth. You will also participate in weekly Development Days, which include resume reviews, interview practice, and training on professional networking.
What you'll do#
- Review monthly construction reports and track progress against budgets and timelines.
- Assist with reviewing construction budgets and loan documentation.
- Process and track draw requests and disbursements.
- Participate in meetings with Loan Officers, Asset Managers, and project teams.
- Research market trends, construction costs, and project risks.
- Use software tools for loan servicing and project tracking.
- Complete an end-of-internship project and present your results to department and executive leadership.
- Support the team on high-impact, time-sensitive projects.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least your sophomore year of college.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- An interest in multifamily housing and community-focused real estate.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior coursework or internship experience in real estate or finance is helpful.
