About the role#
This 11-week summer internship provides a foundation in retail operations and store leadership. You will spend the first half of the program building knowledge of retail competencies. During the second half, you will serve as an Intern Team Leader, taking responsibility for business results, team engagement, and the customer experience. You will participate in projects, attend an executive speaker series, and deliver a final presentation to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to meet sales and service goals.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
- Maintain store appearance and ensure a positive company image.
- Support your department in managing the P&L and maintaining shrink.
- Spend your time on the floor communicating with customers and staff.
- Promote a safe work environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- A passion for retail and interest in a career in store leadership.
- Strong relationship skills and a focus on customer needs.
- Drive for results, decision quality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to adjust your style.
- Prior retail experience and past leadership roles in work or extracurriculars are preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

- Location: Homer Glen, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $20.50 to $30.05 per hour.
