About the role#
This 11-week internship program prepares students for a career in retail store leadership. You will gain foundational knowledge of store operations and leadership competencies. During the second half of the program, you will serve as an Intern Team Leader, where you will manage business results, team engagement, and the customer experience. This role is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Deliver solutions to real business projects and present results to senior leaders.
- Participate in an executive speaker series and professional development training.
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in daily operations.
- Mentor and coach staff to meet sales goals and maintain company standards.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service and manage department P&L.
- Ensure store appearance, product presentation, and safety standards are met.
- Onboard and train new team members.
- Model fast and friendly service for customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, specifically in Business Administration or Operations Management.
- A strong desire to pursue a career in store leadership.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
- A focus on results, customer needs, and building positive relationships.
- Previous retail experience and past leadership roles in work or extracurricular activities are strongly preferred.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
