About the role#
This 11-week summer internship serves as an accelerated path toward a career in store leadership. You will build a foundation of retail knowledge through hands-on experience and professional development. The program includes challenging projects, an executive speaker series, and networking events. You will present your final project to senior executives at the end of the term. Successful interns may be considered for full-time roles with further leadership rotations.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise daily store operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to ensure they meet training and performance goals.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
- Maintain store appearance and product presentation standards.
- Manage department sales, shrink, and P&L results.
- Communicate with customers and staff to ensure service quality.
- Promote a safe work environment.
- Act as an Intern Team Leader during the second half of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- A strong drive for results and a focus on the bottom line.
- Experience in retail or past leadership roles in work or extracurricular activities.
- Ability to analyze financial data to make informed decisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adjust your style for different audiences.
- A passion for retail and a desire to pursue a career in store leadership.
