About the role#
This 11-week summer internship provides a foundation in retail operations and leadership. You will work on projects that impact the business and gain exposure to store management. The program is designed for students interested in an accelerated path toward store leadership roles. During the internship, you will transition into an Intern Team Leader role to apply your skills in a real-world setting.
What you'll do#
- Complete projects and deliver final presentations to senior executives.
- Participate in an executive speaker series, professional development training, and networking events.
- Learn retail knowledge and leadership competencies.
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day operations.
- Mentor and coach team members to improve customer service and drive store sales.
- Maintain store appearance, product presentation, and company standards.
- Support your department in achieving sales goals, managing shrink, and overseeing P&L.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure a positive company image.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- A drive for results and a strong customer focus.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to analyze data.
- Prior retail experience and past leadership roles in work or extracurricular activities are preferred.
- A passion for retail and a desire to pursue a career in store leadership.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is located on-site in Standale and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
