About the role#
This 11-week internship program is designed to build a foundation of retail knowledge and expose you to store leadership opportunities. You will spend the first half of the program learning core retail competencies. During the second half, you will step into an Intern Team Leader role to manage business results, team member engagement, and the customer experience. This program is a pathway for students interested in a long-term career in store leadership.
What you'll do#
- Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
- Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, and maintain store appearance.
- Support your department in managing the P&L and maintaining shrink.
- Mentor and coach both new and current team members on onboarding, training, and performance goals.
- Communicate regularly with customers and staff to ensure service standards are met.
- Model fast and friendly customer service while promoting a safe work environment.
- Participate in executive speaker series, professional development training, and final presentations to senior leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Business Administration.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in retail store leadership.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
- A drive for results and an action-oriented mindset.
- Prior retail experience and past leadership roles in work or extracurricular activities are strongly preferred.
- Reliable and consistent attendance.
