About the role#
MedCare Pediatric Group is hiring a BCBA Intern for our Houston location. This role allows you to gain supervised fieldwork experience while developing clinical skills in Applied Behavior Analysis. You will work under the supervision of a BCBA to support the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of services for pediatric clients.
What you'll do#
- Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in behavior-analytic activities that meet current BACB standards.
- Track your fieldwork hours and supervision activities.
- Assist the supervising BCBA with staff training and meetings with parents or caregivers.
- Help with initial and ongoing assessments, treatment plans, and reports.
- Implement behavior intervention plans to help decrease challenging behaviors and increase appropriate ones.
- Assist with crisis management, which may include handling client physical aggression.
- Research and apply evidence-based practices and current literature.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and company events.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth and continuing education.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- A Master’s degree from an accredited program, or current enrollment in an accredited master level ABA program with completion expected within six months.
- A strong interest in working with children and families.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- A commitment to professional and ethical standards in ABA.
- RBT experience is preferred.

- This position is based on-site in Houston, Texas.
- The role is full-time and paid.
- This is a rolling internship.
