About the role#
McKesson is seeking a Supply Chain Engineering & Analytics Intern to support operational excellence within our Pharmaceutical Distribution Operations team at the Surrey Distribution Centre. This internship provides hands-on experience in supply chain analytics, warehouse operations, and process improvement. You will work with operational data to identify opportunities that improve productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and service levels. You will also gain exposure to warehouse management systems, automation, and real-world supply chain challenges.
What you'll do#
- Analyse operational performance data and track KPIs like productivity, service levels, and inventory accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement and Lean/PDCA initiatives focused on warehouse flow, picking efficiency, and automation.
- Analyse staffing models, shift patterns, and labour utilisation to support throughput.
- Review inbound and outbound flows, inventory positioning, and order profiles to support supply chain efficiency.
- Build and maintain Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools to provide visibility into performance and trends.
- Conduct root cause analysis of operational issues and support corrective action planning.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Transportation, and Inventory teams on business projects.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
- Experience with SQL.
- An interest in logistics, distribution, supply chain operations, and process improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A data-driven approach with attention to detail and quality.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify problems and contribute to solutions.
- An interest in healthcare and customer service.

- Location: Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position based at the Surrey Distribution Centre.
- The role involves time on the warehouse floor observing and analysing processes.
