About the role#
As a Co-op in the Building Services Division, you will join the team from day one to work on mechanical, plumbing, and building automation projects. You will support Account Managers and Account Coordinators to see projects through to completion. This role is designed for students who want to gain practical experience in the construction industry.
What you'll do#
- Assist in managing service and retrofit work.
- Coordinate with vendors to procure equipment and materials.
- Update project schedules regularly.
- Review drawings and visit jobsites to help develop estimates and proposals.
- Manage submittals for various projects.
- Lead meetings to review the weekly labor calendar and schedule labor.
- Survey project sites to ensure they meet safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Obtain permits and schedule inspections.
- Support Account Managers by generating POs, creating sketches and as-builts, performing take-offs, and preparing closeout documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Co-op program at an accredited engineering school.
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Ability to complete at least two full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before graduation.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- A self-motivated and team-oriented approach with a focus on details.
- Clear communication skills when working with project managers, drafting teams, field staff, and fabrication shops.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Rotations: Summer 2027 and Spring 2028.
- Physical Requirements: Occasional jobsite visits may require navigating active construction areas, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
