About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in both the office and the field. You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to apply your academic knowledge and assist with project delivery from design to construction. This is a full-time, paid position for a 4-month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to develop designs from conceptual to detailed stages.
- Conduct field inspections for infrastructure construction.
- Liaise with contractors on client sites.
- Work with the team to ensure schedules, budgets, quality control, and safety standards are met.
- Participate in safety practices to ensure teams Think Safe, Work Safe, and Get Home Safe.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Diploma or Degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or related software is an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Clear communication skills.
- Willingness to work in varied environmental conditions, including wildlife-populated areas.
- Ability to work in remote areas for extended periods and varied hours.
- Ability to commute to Surrey, BC.
