About the role#
The Manager of Student Information Systems & Data Integration oversees student-centered technology across the network. This role is part of the Performance Monitoring and Accountability Team and focuses on software distribution, user management, system configuration, and data integrity. You will work to ensure that school systems are accurate, secure, and efficient to support the academic needs of the community.
What you'll do#
- Manage the primary student information system and other school-based platforms.
- Perform system updates and communicate changes to all impacted users.
- Develop and monitor the synchronization of information between applications using APIs and scripts.
- Create complex queries to extract data and generate customized reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage system user accounts and security protocols to ensure the confidentiality of student records.
- Document system processes and provide training to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for faculty, staff, and families.
- Collaborate with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education to ensure accurate data reporting.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience managing and supporting student information systems or similar database management systems.
- Proficiency in database management and SQL.
- Strong skills in writing complex queries and generating customized reports.
- Experience managing projects related to system implementation or upgrades.
- Familiarity with data security standards, access control, and user management.
- Ability to document technical processes and create effective training materials.

- Location: Washington, District of Columbia.
- Modality: This position is available as an on-site role or a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week).
- Term: Fall 2026.
