About the role#
Matrox Imaging is looking for a software intern to join our development teams for the Winter 2027 term. You will work alongside senior developers in a team of about five people. This role is available on-site or in a hybrid format. You will be fully integrated into the team and handle tasks similar to those of our permanent staff.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement software components for embedded systems, user interfaces, or device drivers.
- Investigate bugs to maintain code quality.
- Create tests to validate your work.
- Participate in team code reviews.
- Document your design and the behavior of your code.
- Train the quality assurance team on new functionality you develop.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Completion of at least 30 credits with a GPA of 2.9/4.3 or 2.7/4.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in at least one of these languages: C++, C#, JavaScript, or Java.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and development environments like MS-Windows with Visual Studio or Linux with the GNU toolchain.
- Experience in areas such as embedded systems, Angular user interface design, network streaming protocols, audio/video encoding, or device drivers is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to learn.

- Modality: On-site or hybrid (50% on-site, 50% remote).
