About the role#
Materion Corporation is hiring a Finance and Accounting Intern to work within our Emerging Markets and Project Management divisions. This role is based in our Mayfield Heights office and provides hands-on experience across multiple finance functions. You will join a structured program that includes an executive chat series to help you build your professional network and learn from senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Assist with cost accounting activities, including analyzing cost variances and preparing reports.
- Support the Financial Planning and Analysis team with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Participate in tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Contribute to treasury functions such as cash management and liquidity analysis.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights into business performance.
- Collaborate with the internal audit team to assess financial controls.
- Engage in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with financial software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

- Schedule: This is a hybrid role with in-office days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
