    About the role#

    The Emerging Climatetech Fellow works within the Emerging Climatetech division to support the growth of the clean energy economy in Massachusetts. You will divide your time between the Technology-to-Market grant program team and the Business Development Support team. This role provides an opportunity to learn about the energy industry, including market trends, technology commercialization, and policy.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the Technology-to-Market grant programs, Business Development support, and Investment teams.
    • Assist with project tracking, management, and program administration.
    • Conduct background research on technologies, companies, and industry initiatives.
    • Collect and analyze project metrics while maintaining program databases.
    • Review applicant proposals and process awardee invoices.
    • Draft meeting notes, memos, and letters for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Create targeted reports, marketing materials, graphics, and maps.
    • Monitor program inboxes and respond to inquiries.
    • Plan events, logistics, and lead presentations with external parties.
    • Update websites and contribute to team meetings.
    • Conduct prospecting and outreach to climatetech companies and industry partners.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (sophomore or higher) or a graduate degree.
    • Preferred fields of study include environmental engineering, business administration, economics, international relations, science, public policy, or entrepreneurship.
    • Strong interest in clean energy technology innovation and industry development.
    • Basic familiarity with renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy market structure, or energy policy.
    • Excellent organizational, writing, and attention to detail skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
    • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate project needs.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Intermediate experience with Excel is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Compensation: Paid at $20 per hour.
    • Term: Rolling.
