About the role#
The Production Tracking Fellow supports the Production Management Department at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. You will work with staff and market participants to manage incentive programs for solar, renewable thermal energy, and clean peak resources. This role involves day-to-day operations and data quality maintenance within the Production Tracking System. Fellows have access to educational opportunities including division head presentations, technical talks, and site tours.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to system owners, production reporters, and other program participants.
- Assist with monthly reporting tasks like entering meter readings and correcting system data.
- Maintain the flow of PV applications and manage quality control for documentation.
- Update system and user information to ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze project data to identify industry trends, build visualizations, and draft summary memos.
- Support outreach efforts through marketing materials, events, and conferences.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college undergraduate (sophomore or higher) or graduate student.
- Preferred majors include science, environmental studies, business administration, or public policy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Effective organizational and recordkeeping habits.
- Ability to document findings in memos or presentations.
- Analytical mindset and a detail-oriented approach to processes.
- Interest in clean energy issues and a willingness to learn new software.
- Advanced Excel skills and customer service experience are preferred.
- A collaborative attitude and a strong work ethic.
