About the role#
This internship supports the design and implementation of Business Intelligence solutions at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. You will work alongside a Programmer Analyst to gain practical experience in data warehousing, data marts, and report writing. The role focuses on automating manual processes and creating tools that help the organization meet its data and reporting needs.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Programmer Analyst on various technical projects.
- Analyze current manual processes and design programs to automate them.
- Design and implement organizational and departmental dashboards.
- Create data solutions to meet specific client reporting requirements.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, estimates, and milestones.
- Test deliverables and resolve issues in collaboration with the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in an accredited college program.
- Completed coursework in IT or Informatics with an emphasis on programming.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to create pivot tables, graphs, forms, and databases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
- Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and attention to detail.
