IT Intern - Project Management

About the role#

The IT Intern - Project Management supports the design and implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This role focuses on the creation of data warehouses, data marts, data stores, and report writing, offering practical experience in the Programmer-SQL and Business Intelligence fields. You will report to the IT Programmer Analyst and work on-site in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the Programmer Analyst on various projects to meet client-defined data and reporting needs.
• Analyze existing manual processes and design programs to automate them.
• Design and implement organizational and departmental dashboards.
• Contribute to the development of project estimates, plans, and milestones.
• Test and resolve issues with project deliverables.
• Identify problems and contribute to quality improvement solutions.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a junior or senior in an accredited college, with completed coursework in IT or Informatics with an emphasis in programming.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proven ability to create graphs, pivot tables, forms, and databases, and summarize results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to adapt to changes and respond effectively to feedback.
