About the role#
As a Firmware Engineer Intern, you will join the Central Engineering AMS-IP team. This group develops SerDes PHY solutions and Analog Mixed-Signal IPs for Marvell products. You will work alongside firmware, design, application, and SoC teams to solve technical challenges related to high-speed data transport.
What you'll do#
- Develop and verify new firmware modules for Marvell Serdes IP.
- Create module documents, design specifications, firmware source code, and build scripts.
- Contribute to the development of CI/CD processes.
- Participate in debugging, system bring-up, and production firmware development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 3rd or 4th-year BS student or a Master student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded firmware design, development, and debugging.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins.
- Good problem-solving and technical communication skills.
- Experience with C/C++ in a bare-metal embedded environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with chip design simulation, verification, SERDES technology, PCIe host interfaces, AI, Machine Learning, or LLMs is considered an asset.
