About the role#
As an Analog Layout Intern, you will join the Central Engineering group. You will work closely with an Analog IC Designer to transform schematics into physical designs. This role involves collaborating with global teams and contributing to projects that support various business units, including Automotive, Storage, Security, and Networking.
What you'll do#
- Graphically design the layers of schematics using CAD tools.
- Run simulations and verifications on designs using Cadence Virtuoso.
- Refine and debug designs in partnership with the designer.
- Meet every few days with your assigned designer to collaborate on project iterations.
- Attend routine meetings with your technical mentor, the layout team, and the project team.
- Provide progress updates and present technical issues or solutions to your team.
What you'll need#
- A degree or current enrollment in Electrical Engineering (graduate or undergraduate).
- A fundamental understanding of electrical concepts.
- Specialized course work in analog design or layout.
- Experience using CAD tools for implementation and microelectronic design layers.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information.
