About the role#
As an Analog Engineer Intern, you will join the Central Engineering group to work on physical layer ICs for high-speed fiber optic data communication. You will contribute to the design and validation of FET and BiCMOS circuits for broadband applications, supporting DSP transceivers ranging from 10Gbps to 1600Gbps.
What you'll do#
- Understand product requirements and determine how your specific block integrates into the larger system.
- Take ownership of a design block for delivery into a Marvell DSP transceiver.
- Evaluate tradeoffs between various circuit topologies.
- Perform schematic capture and layout within the Cadence Virtuoso design environment.
- Execute schematic level and post layout simulations to quantify and optimize circuit performance.
- Document your designs and participate in design reviews with the team.
What you'll need#
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of circuit design, device physics, and transistor level design.
- Proficiency in feedback and loop stability analysis.
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Cadence Virtuoso or Mentor Custom Compiler, broadband design techniques, and knowledge of CMOS or SiGe Bipolar technologies.
