About the role#
The Engineering Applications team builds and runs the platforms Marvell engineers use daily. This includes DevOps and CI/CD infrastructure, custom engineering applications, and the AI layer that connects them. As an intern, you will work on our governed AI platform and agentic SDLC platform. You will ship production software that impacts how engineers work, moving beyond sandbox projects to apply agentic AI to real software development lifecycles.
What you'll do#
- Build and ship one feature end-to-end on our agentic AI platform, from design through production deployment.
- Develop integrations and MCP-based tooling to connect AI agents to engineering systems such as Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence, and AWS.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows using CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments on Kubernetes.
- Write and review code alongside senior engineers using AI-assisted development tools.
- Instrument and measure the impact of your work, including adoption and performance, and present results to the team.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, and IT partners to scope projects and gather requirements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language like Python, C#, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Ability to write and debug production-quality code.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Git-based version control.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on exposure to LLM or agentic AI development, such as prompt design or model APIs.
- Ability to take an ambiguous problem to a working result independently.
- Preferred: Experience building REST APIs or system integrations with tools like Jira, GitHub, or ServiceNow.
- Preferred: Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and deployment tools like Terraform or Argo CD.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent orchestration frameworks, or multi-agent workflow design.
- Preferred: Experience with relational databases and front-end frameworks like React.
Location & details#
- Location: Santa Clara, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
