About the role#
The Data Office at Marvell builds the infrastructure that helps the company make decisions across finance, engineering, sales, and operations. As an intern, you will work on projects that go into production and support teams across the company. You will be paired with a technical mentor and meet regularly with the team to review progress and receive feedback.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Databricks and Snowflake, including automated data quality checks.
- Develop, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models and AI applications, including LLM-based and agentic workflows.
- Analyze large datasets to find trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Define metrics to measure business opportunities.
- Design interactive dashboards and visualizations in Power BI.
- Document your pipelines and models.
- Present findings and recommendations to mentors and business partners.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Proficiency in Python for data processing, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and modeling large datasets.
- Understanding of data engineering fundamentals like ETL/ELT design, data warehousing, and pipeline orchestration.
- Foundation in statistics, machine learning, and exploratory data analysis.
- Familiarity with modern AI models such as LLMs.
- Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, Airflow, or dbt.
- Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience building AI applications with LLMs and agentic frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph.
- Prior project, internship, or research experience in data engineering or data science.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and Git/CI/CD.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Santa Clara, California.
- This is a hybrid position.
