    About the role#

    Martin Sprocket & Gear is hiring a Co-Op Welder / Fabricator. This is a full-time, paid position for students studying Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. You will work on-site in a shop environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Operate metalworking machines including shears, presses, and grinders.
    • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to guide your work.
    • Weld, braze, or solder metal parts together.
    • Inspect finished products for defects to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
    • Follow all safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.

    What you'll need#

    • Previous experience operating hydraulic presses in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to understand and follow instructions written in English.
    • Ability to handle heavy items by lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning them.
    • Physical ability to stand for the entire shift.
    • Familiarity with safety programs and training.
    • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

    Location & details#

    • Locations: Danielsville, PA and Northampton, PA.
    • Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
