About the role#
Marbles Kids Museum is seeking a Communications Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the marketing team in creating promotional content and sharing the museum's mission through digital storytelling. This is an unpaid internship that requires enrollment in a formal education program for academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the communications coordinator to capture photo and video content showcasing the museum's approach to play and community impact.
- Assist in curating social media posts that recap programs and events.
- Support the development of social media campaigns promoting play and community initiatives.
- Attend and participate in marketing team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a formal education class requiring an internship for academic credit.
- Strong creative, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Comfort interacting with children and families in an energetic, hands-on environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and current digital trends.
- Preferred fields of study include Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations.
Location & details#
- Location: Raleigh, North Carolina.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible scheduling is required, including availability for some evenings and weekends to support signature museum events.
- Physical demands: The role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
