About the role#
As an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work with our engineering and operations teams at the Garland manufacturing facility. You will gain hands-on experience applying engineering principles to production processes, workflows, and continuous improvement in a live environment. This role supports projects that help our team maintain efficiency and quality.
What you'll do#
- Observe and evaluate production processes, workflows, and material movement.
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational data and performance metrics.
- Assist with time studies, process mapping, capacity analysis, and workflow evaluations.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and cost.
- Support continuous improvement and process-optimization projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Innovative mindset and motivation to learn and succeed.
- Willingness to travel.
Location & details#
- Location: Garland, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly rate up to $23.00, depending on the role and location.
- Additional Support: Housing stipends may be available in certain situations.
