About the role#
This position focuses on Asset Liability Management (ALM) data management and analytics. You will join a team that uses data and analytics technologies to solve complex financial problems. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and process data using various analytics technologies.
- Work with large and complex datasets.
- Develop analytical, automation, or data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving financial markets and technology.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
- A strong interest in financial markets and technology.
- Basic programming skills, preferably in Python.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Preference for candidates with academic or project experience in both finance and technology.
- Familiarity with ALM, market risk management, fixed income analytics, or financial modeling is an asset.
- Experience with Python libraries like Pandas or NumPy, data engineering, or visualization tools is helpful.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, or LLMs is a plus.
- Familiarity with software development practices like Git and version control.
