About the role#
This position serves as either a Front Desk Agent or a Winter Intern at Manor Vail Lodge. You will be the first point of contact for guests, helping them settle in and ensuring their stay starts well. This is a full-time, on-site role for the winter season.
What you'll do#
- Greet, register, and check in guests upon arrival.
- Issue room keys and provide overviews of the property.
- Answer guest questions regarding lodge services, local shopping, dining, and travel.
- Manage work orders for the Housekeeping and Engineering teams using HotSOS.
- Process payments, compute folios, and handle cash transactions at the lobby market.
- Post charges for services like spa visits or dry cleaning to guest accounts.
- Complete daily shift checklists and coordinate with the Room Reservations and Housekeeping teams.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One to three months of related experience or training is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and the ability to use hotel property management software like Springer Miller System.
- Strong communication skills to speak clearly with guests and staff.
- Basic math skills for calculating totals and counting back change.
- Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and write routine reports.
- Availability to work morning, midday, or evening shifts.
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.

- Term: Mid-November 2026 through mid-April 2027.

- Compensation: $21 per hour.
