About the role#
The Major League Baseball Players Association offers a 6-month internship for those interested in sports union operations. You will support the communications team with media relations, public relations, and various organizational projects. This is a full-time position spanning Fall 2026 through Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news and conduct research on biographical, organizational, and topical subjects.
- Draft and edit reports, analysis, and issue summaries.
- Distribute press releases and keep the department media list updated.
- Assist with special communications projects as required.
What you'll need#
- A recent degree from an accredited university in communications, public relations, sports management, economics, English, or labor relations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience using the internet for research and communications.
- Familiarity with Major and Minor League Baseball Players.
- Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.
Location & details#
This is a hybrid role based in New York, New York. You will work from the office 3 days per week and remotely for the remaining 2 days. The daily schedule is 9 am to 5 pm. This position is paid at $20.00 per hour for BA graduates and $30.00 per hour for MBA graduates.
