    About the role#

    This internship supports the EMC Validation team at Magna Electronics. You will assist engineers with testing, data analysis, and issue debugging. You will report directly to the EMC Validation Manager and work on site in Auburn Hills.

    What you'll do#

    • Listen for instructions, take notes, and ask questions to confirm requirements before starting tasks.
    • Support EMC Validation engineers with module reflash, part logging, and issue tracking.
    • Assist with test data analysis, reporting, and debugging.
    • Conduct testing of electronic modules during development, design validation, and production validation phases.
    • Manage part samples, set up tests, operate environmental chambers, and prepare samples for analysis.
    • Work with electronic module test stands to ensure correct setups and active testing execution.
    • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on test stands, including harness build and debug.
    • Manage priorities across multiple tasks and support parts storage, labeling, and fixture organization.
    • Deliver parts to external labs and support testing at remote locations when necessary.
    • Collaborate with other associates to provide backup for key responsibilities.

    What you'll need#

    • A high school diploma and current enrollment in a college or university.
    • Strong technical and analytical competence.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
    • A hands-on approach with the ability to create setups, perform testing, and monitor results.
    • Experience supporting problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Some related experience is preferred.
