About the role#
Magellan Aerospace is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer CO-OP to support our team in Middletown, Ohio. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship. You will work on-site and assist our manufacturing engineering, project, and program managers with daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications.
- Create manufacturing planning paperwork and rework plans.
- Help manufacturing staff solve technical problems with tooling or processes.
- Develop and implement Manufacturing Technical Directive documentation.
- Work within a cross-functional team to define and document current processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and create plans to achieve those goals.
- Evaluate and define the equipment and processes needed for new business.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program with Junior status.
- Majors in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Previous experience with CAD.
- Ability to interpret technical procedures, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports and business correspondence.
- Skills in probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems in environments with limited standardization.
- Capability to present information to managers, clients, and the public.
