About the role#
The Store Management Internship Program provides exposure to the core functions of running a retail store. You will learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, and store operations. This is an 8-week paid, full-time program held during the summer of 2027. You will work on-site as part of a leadership team to understand the daily operations of a large retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to gain leadership insights.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute merchandising initiatives.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions.
- Develop a customer-focused selling environment by coaching and developing colleagues.
- Support daily store operations through training and coaching.
- Analyze trends to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Explore retail strategies and the analytical side of the business.
- Complete a project and presentation that proposes ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Currently a junior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Sincere passion for engaging with people.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and drive results.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or touch objects. You may be required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms.
