About the role#
This 8-week paid internship provides exposure to the core functions of managing a retail store. You will work on-site to learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, store operations, and human resources. This program runs from June through August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in operations and visual merchandising to plan and execute product displays.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions within the store and region.
- Coach and develop a team of colleagues to build a customer-focused selling environment.
- Support daily store operations through training and coaching.
- Analyze trends to select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Explore the analytical side of the business to understand retail strategies.
- Develop a project and presentation to propose new ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in your junior year of a bachelor's degree program. All majors are welcome to apply.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Self-motivation and a positive attitude.
- A sincere interest in engaging with people.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and drive results.
- Strong business acumen.
- Physical ability to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle items. You may also need to move around the workplace.
