About the role#
The Corporate Strategy and Continuous Improvement teams function as in-house consulting groups. This 10-week summer internship focuses on developing strategies and identifying opportunities to drive financial results. You will work on a project with strategic importance to Macy's, receive guidance from a dedicated leader, and gain exposure to executive leadership. Successful interns may be considered for full-time roles upon completion.
What you'll do#
- Apply analytical skills and problem-solving rigor to address strategic business challenges.
- Evaluate new concepts and approaches.
- Synthesize critical insights to develop actionable recommendations.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across various functions.
- Lead cross-functional teams independently in strategy development and project execution.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Continuous Improvement group to identify and assess new opportunities.
- Facilitate analysis and brainstorming sessions for new initiatives.
- Coordinate the evaluation of potential ideas and oversee the launch of new initiatives.
- Manage project execution from concept to pilot and final execution.
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program.
- A bachelor's degree.
- Professional work experience.
- A strong record of extracurricular activity, professional accomplishment, and leadership.
- Interest in retail, technology, and innovation is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
