About the role#
The Store Management Internship provides exposure to the daily operations of a retail department store. You will learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, and team development. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product displays.
- Coach and develop team members to maintain a customer-focused selling environment.
- Support daily store operations and train colleagues.
- Analyze business trends with partners to inform merchandise selection.
- Explore retail strategies and contribute to business growth.
- Complete a final project and presentation for store leadership.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect for colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred, and all majors are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated attitude and a sincere interest in working with people.
- Business acumen and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving about the workplace, reaching, and handling items.
