About the role#
This 8-week paid internship provides exposure to the operations of a retail department store. You will learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, and store operations. The program runs from June through August 2027. Upon successful completion, you may be eligible for the Store Management Executive Development Program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in operations and visual merchandising to plan and execute product initiatives.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions.
- Coach and develop colleagues to build a customer-focused selling environment.
- Support daily store operations through training and coaching.
- Analyze business trends and data to select merchandise and explore retail strategies.
- Complete a project and presentation to propose ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a junior working toward a bachelor degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- You are self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- You have a sincere passion for engaging with people.
- You possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- You are a problem-solver who is results-driven.
- You have strong business acumen.
- The role requires the ability to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel objects. You may occasionally need to move about the workplace.
