About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week, full-time, paid program based in Garden City, New York. It provides exposure to the core functions of running a retail store, including merchandising, operations, and customer service. You will gain hands-on experience in leadership, business analysis, and store strategy while working alongside management teams.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in operations and visual merchandising to execute product initiatives.
- Coach and train colleagues to support daily store operations and a customer-focused selling environment.
- Analyze business data and trends to help select merchandise.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions.
- Complete a final project and presentation for store leadership that proposes ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect among colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- A self-motivated approach and a positive attitude toward new challenges.
- A sincere interest in engaging with people.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to solve problems.
- Solid business acumen and curiosity about retail strategy.

- This role offers merchandise discounts. Successful completion of the internship may lead to an offer for the Store Management Executive Development Program after graduation.
