About the role#
This 8-week paid internship provides hands-on experience in store leadership. You will work on-site to learn how a large retail department store functions. The program covers customer service, merchandising, business analysis, store operations, and colleague development. It is designed to help you understand the daily challenges of retail management.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in Operations and Visual Merchandising to execute product displays.
- Coach and develop team members to create a customer-focused selling environment.
- Analyze retail trends and business data to select merchandise.
- Support daily store operations through training and coaching.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions.
- Complete a final project and presentation proposing ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your junior year of a bachelor's degree program. All majors are welcome to apply.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- You have a sincere interest in working with people and strong communication skills.
- You are a self-motivated problem-solver who is driven by results.
- You possess strong business acumen and a desire to learn retail strategies.
- You are comfortable with physical tasks like moving about the workplace, reaching, and handling items.
Location & details#
- Location: Aventura, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Status: Full-time, on-site.
- This position does not offer sponsorship.
