About the role#
The Store Management Internship is a paid, 8-week program running from June through August 2027. This on-site experience provides exposure to the core functions of running a retail store, including customer service, merchandising, operations, and colleague development. You will work within a store leadership team to understand how a multi-million-dollar retail business functions and gain experience in retail strategy.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow the Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product merchandising.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions.
- Coach and develop a team of colleagues to create a customer-focused selling environment.
- Support daily store operations through training and coaching.
- Analyze business trends with partners to inform merchandise selection.
- Explore retail strategies and the analytical side of the business.
- Complete a project and presentation for store leadership to propose ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred, and all majors are considered.
- Self-motivation and a positive attitude toward new challenges.
- A sincere passion for engaging with people.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to solve problems and drive results.
- Strong business acumen and curiosity about modern retail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as moving about the workplace, reaching, and handling items.
