About the role#
The Store Management Internship is an 8-week paid program that provides exposure to the daily operations of a retail department store. You will work on-site at a major market store to learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, and team development. This program serves as an introduction to retail leadership and offers a path to potential full-time roles after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in operations and visual merchandising to plan and execute product displays.
- Coach and develop team members to maintain a customer-focused selling environment.
- Support daily store operations through training and staff coordination.
- Analyze business trends with partners to refine merchandise selection.
- Explore retail strategies and the analytical side of the business.
- Complete a final project and presentation focused on business growth for store leadership.
- Foster an environment of respect and acceptance for colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in your junior year of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred, and all majors are welcome to apply.
- You are self-motivated with a positive attitude and a sincere interest in engaging with people.
- You possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- You are a problem-solver who is driven to achieve results.
- You have strong business acumen and a curiosity about modern retail.
- Physical ability to move around the workplace, use hands for tasks, and perform close-vision work.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June through August).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
