About the role#
This 8-week paid internship provides exposure to the core functions of retail store leadership. You will gain experience in customer service, merchandising, business analysis, operations, and colleague development. This program runs from June through August 2027 and is based on-site in Pleasanton, California.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow Managers of Operations and Visual Merchandising to plan and execute product displays.
- Engage with store and regional leaders across various business functions.
- Coach and train colleagues to maintain a customer-focused environment and support daily operations.
- Analyze trends and business metrics to select merchandise and explore retail strategies.
- Develop and present a project proposing new ideas for business growth.
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect with colleagues and customers.
What you'll need#
- Current junior status pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred, though all majors are welcome.
- A self-motivated approach with a positive attitude.
- A sincere passion for engaging with people.
- Problem-solving skills and a focus on driving results.
- Strong business acumen and curiosity about modern retail.
- Physical ability to sit, talk, hear, and touch. You must be able to move about the workplace, reach with hands and arms, and use close vision.
