About the role#
This 8-week paid internship provides exposure to the core functions of managing a retail store. You will learn about customer service, merchandising, business analysis, visual presentation, store operations, and colleague development. This program runs from June through August 2027 and takes place on-site in Palo Alto.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Manager of Sales and Customer Experience to learn leadership practices.
- Shadow managers in operations and visual merchandising to plan and execute product initiatives.
- Engage with leaders across various business functions within the store and region.
- Develop a customer-focused environment by coaching and training team members.
- Support daily store operations and ensure smooth workflows.
- Analyze trends to help select merchandise that meets customer needs.
- Explore the analytical side of retail to understand business strategies.
- Complete a project and presentation focused on business growth.
- Build relationships with colleagues, customers, and the community.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in your junior year of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited university.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred.
- All majors are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated attitude and a sincere interest in working with people.
- Ability to work in a results-driven environment.
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as moving around the workplace, reaching, and handling items.
