About the role#
The Strategy MBA Intern supports the development of customer and digital growth initiatives. You will conduct strategic analyses, build recommendations, and partner with teams across the organization. This role provides exposure to enterprise-level decision-making and strategy development within a retail environment.
What you'll do#
- Support digital and customer strategy initiatives through research, analysis, and insight development.
- Evaluate growth opportunities and translate complex business questions into strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects involving Marketing, Merchandising, Stores, Analytics, and Technology teams.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, strategic narratives, frameworks, and business cases.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses related to business performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA program, with a 3.0 GPA preferred.
- Strong retail math and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze sales, gross margin, inventory productivity, and sell-through metrics.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
- A basic understanding of financial performance metrics, profitability, statistical analysis, and assortment planning.
- Ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Capacity to organize and prioritize multiple projects independently.
- High standards for accuracy and a focus on process improvement.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in New York, New York.
- Physical requirements include the ability to work with multiple computer screens for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
