About the role#
MACOM is looking for a Test Software Developer Intern to join our test engineering team in Morgan Hill. You will work on software development and testing tasks within our Operations department. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will complete an individual project with specific goals.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to test engineering activities.
- Write and implement software for use on the production floor.
- Gain hands-on experience through a defined project.
- Attend an intern webinar series and various networking or social events.
- Present your project successes and pitfalls at a poster session.
- Receive formal, written feedback and ongoing supervision.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with C, C++, Python, or SQL is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Morgan Hill, California.
- The internship follows a rolling term schedule.
- Compensation ranges from $20 to $47 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location.
- Please note that this role does not offer visa sponsorship.
