About the role#
As an intern at the Morgan Hill Design Center, you will work with a team of RF engineers on high power GaN transistor products for the base station market. You will receive training, supervision, and feedback throughout your 12-week project. You will also participate in an intern webinar series, networking events, and present your project results at a poster session.
What you'll do#
- Characterize high power GaN transistor products.
- Operate RF test bench software and Digital Predistortion testers.
- Handle RF devices, bias components, capture data, and process results.
- Design impedance matching networks for GaN devices using MWO or ADS software.
- Create layouts for matching networks in AutoCAD.
- Assemble, solder, and tune circuits on the RF bench.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Electrical Engineering.
- A strong interest in RF, microwave, and semiconductor devices.
- Relevant lab work or coursework.
- A willingness to work hands-on in the lab to test devices and assemble RF PCBs.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.

- Compensation: Paid position with an hourly range of $20 to $47 per hour.
