About the role#
This internship focuses on the development and characterization of RF product models for circuit simulation and product design. You will work with experienced engineers to build accurate models for RF and microwave power amplifiers. The role provides practical experience with electromagnetic simulation tools and model validation techniques.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and validating packaged RF product models.
- Run EM simulations of passive structures, such as bondwires, packages, and matching networks.
- Correlate your simulated model performance against measured S-Parameter and Large Signal data.
- Create and present reports on your model validation findings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of transmission lines, S-Parameters, impedance matching, and RF power amplifiers.
- Experience with EDA software like Keysight ADS or AWR Microwave Office.
- Familiarity with EM simulation tools such as HFSS, RFPro, or AXIEM.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Preference for candidates with hands-on experience using a VNA, calibrating test benches, and performing S-Parameter or Large Signal measurements.
Location & details#
- Location: Morrisville, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
- Term: Rolling.
